Today’s project seriously couldn’t be any easier. If you’re determined to have some handmade Valentines to hand out this year but don’t have time to get fancy, try out these super simple Valentines Mini Cards. All you need for this project are some pieces of 3″ x 3″ Whisper White card stock and your Hearts A Flutter stamp set.

All you’ll need to do is stamp the solid heart image in the bottom right corner. Then stamp the outline image on top of the solid heart image. Voila! Cute and simple Valentine in about a minute! Customize these by using different ink colors, or try stamping on some colored card stock instead of plain white. Think it needs a little something more? Try drawing a black line border around the card front free hand! A great way to add some more flair without getting too fancy or complicated.

Just tuck these 3×3 flat cards into some Mini Square Envelopes and they are ready to hand out to whomever you please. No need to sacrifice going handmade due to time constraints. There are always simple solutions in a time crunch. Just think single layer and a single image and that’s often all you need for a stunning and cute card anyone can appreciate!

Valentine’s Day is quickly drawing near. And here are a couple of quick tag ideas that you can use to attach to treat bags or Valentine’s Day gifts.

This first tag design uses the heart image from the Pretty Petites Sale-a-bration stamp set. This stamp set, and the coordinating Petite Curly Label Punch, can be yours for FREE as part of Sale-a-bration!

Making these tags was really simple. I just stamped the image in Primrose Petals ink, then punched out the image using the Petite Curly Label Punch. I adhered the tiny labels to some tags I had cut out using one of the banner shapes from the Hearts A Flutter Framelites Dies Set. I cut the tags from Pool Party cardstock, then inked the edges with Primrose Petals ink using a sponge dauber. The labels were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little extra pop. The tags are strung on some Pool Party Baker’s Twine.

This next tag design is even easier! It’s as simple as stamp and cut.

To create these tags, I stamped the solid heart image from the Hearts A Flutter stamp set on Very Vanilla card stock in Primrose Petals ink. I then stamped the outline image using Basic Black ink. I love the look of the outline being a little off from the solid image, so I didn’t bother to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the outline image. I just eyeballed the stamp placement for that imperfect look. Once the image was stamped, I used another banner shape from the Hearts A Flutter Framelits Dies Set to cut out the tag. I positioned the die so that the image was a little tilted instead of being perfectly centered and straight on the tag. Makes for a fun-looking tag.

These tags can be made in little to no time at all. So if you need a quick embellishment to some Valentine’s Day packaging, try out these quick, simple, and easy tags. You can make multiples in just minutes and are a great way to add just a little handmade touch to your Valentine’s Day treats and gifts. And of course, these little tags can easily be adapted for nearly any occasion.

I’ve got some more fun Valentine’s Day treat packaging for you today! I took a cue from my popular Halloween Treats packaging and made some simple candy wraps and bag toppers using the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper and Hearts A Flutter Bundle (stamp set and Framelits Dies).

The toppers were made using some Pool Party card stock. I fancy-fied them using the Adorning Accents Edgelits dies and Embossing Folders. One topper was edged using the scallop edgelit and embossed with the cute, and appropriate, heart pattern. The other topper was edged using the bracket edgelit (I can’t think of another word for it!) and the coordinating embossing folder.

For the final touch, I added some heart decorations to the toppers. The larger hearts are cut from the laser cut sheets in the More Amore DSP pack. The smaller hearts are stamped from the Hearts A Flutter set and cut out using the matching Framelits die.

To create the candy wraps, I use 1-1/2″ x 3″ pieces of DSP. It’s the perfect size to wrap around a Hershey’s Miniature. I almost left the candies with just the DSP wrapping. But I couldn’t resist using the Pretty Petites stamp set and Petite Curly Label Punch from Sale-a-bration to jazz things up a bit.

I used the heart and “YUM” images from the Pretty Petites set and stamped them on Very Vanilla card stock using Pool Party and Primrose Petals ink. The uber cute Petite Curly Label Punch was used to punch out each image. I adhered the tiny labels using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Everything was tucked into 4″ x 6″ cello bags and closed with the bag toppers.

This is really a no muss, no fuss project. To really simplify it, keep the bag toppers plain instead of edging and embossing them to save yourself a little more time. I guarantee you can put together tons of these in little time. I will be putting together more of these for neighbor gifts!

For today’s project, I want to share some treat packaging I prepared for my friend’s daughter to hand out to her class on Valentine’s Day. I wanted to keep the packaging simple and easy to assemble so that her daughter can help me put the treats together and be involved in creating these gifts for her friends.

I decided to use the 1″ x 8″ Cello Bags for the treat holders since they’re simple and easy to decorate. Plus, they hold more than just candy! I put some pencils and little erasers from the dollar section at Target in these bags.

Of course, I had to put candy in some of them What can I say? I’m a chocaholic!

But my friend will ultimately get to decide what goes in the treat bags for her daughter’s class. I just wanted to give you a few examples of what you can use them for.

Now for some details! To create the bag toppers, I simply took a 1-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper and folded it in half. To embellish the toppers, I used the Postage Stamp punch to punch out pieces of card stock in Pool Party and Primrose Petals. I inked the edges using Basic Black ink to give them a little more dimension. Then I stamped different heart images from the Hearts A Flutter stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock using Pool Party and Primrose Petals ink. I cut the hearts out using the heart shape die from the Hearts A Flutter Framelits set. Some 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon in Marina Mist and Pretty in Pink gave the toppers a nice finishing touch. To adhere the toppers to the bags, I just used a piece of sticky strip and folded the toppers over the closed end of the cello bags (that way they can be easily opened without having to remove the toppers!).

These are super easy to make and assemble. If you want to do this project with your kids, let them punch out the stamp shapes and stamp the heart images. If they’re old enough, let them use the Big Shot to cut out the heart shapes too. Then help them assemble everything! It’s an easy craft that you can do in an afternoon. These would also be great to make for your coworkers or neighbors. I know I’ll be whipping up a few extra for my Aunty to give to her office mates.

I’m excited to share today’s projects with you. I had been brainstorming this project since before Christmas, and it was so exciting to bring it to life! You see, I absolutely love Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Fabrics. But a seamstress I most certainly am not. Sewing machines scare me and I can barely manage to do a running stitch by hand. But I wanted to utilize those gorgeous Designer Fabrics in some way without the need to sew. So I thought, why not make some wreaths? And I did!

I fell in love with the More Amore Designer Fabric in the new Spring Catalog, so I decided to create some Valentine’s Day wreaths. The first one I made was this smaller one. This size wreath would be great to make in multiples and hang in windows or on cabinets. I only made one, so I decided to try framing it instead.

Now, there was a tiny bit of sewing involved on this wreath. But only for creating the fabric yo-yo flowers, and all that’s required to create those is a running stitch. So even the most novice of sewers out there could handle that! For a tutorial on creating a fabric yo-yo flower, check out MY TUTORIAL. For the center of the flowers, I used a designer button, a glimmer brad, and a Designer Builder Brad from the Spring Catalog.

It took me a while to come up with a design I was happy with (for those of you who follow me on Facebook, THIS was the project that kept stumping me for days!). But I’m happy with the final result. I used some More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper to cover the photo mat in the frame and complement the wreath. It’s the perfect piece to decorate your mantel for Valentine’s Day or perhaps a dessert table at a Valentine’s Day party.

After making that small wreath, I still had plenty of Designer Fabric left over. So I decided to make a little bit larger of a wreath, and this time I made sure this one involved absolutely no sewing of any kind!

For this wreath, I utilized more of the products from the More Amore Product Suite in the Spring Catalog. I used the Hearts A Flutter Framelits Dies to create a cute little banner to go across the wreath. I love the different shapes you get with that die set. They are absolutely perfect for creating fun banners like this! I just die cut the shapes from some sheets of More Amore DSP and Pool Party card stock for an instant banner in less than two minutes! The heart outline is from the Hearts A Flutter stamp set and the “love” sentiment is from the Tiny Tags set.

Now, the flowers are my absolute favorite thing about this wreath. And like I said before, there was absolutely no sewing involved! The large fabric flower was created using a strip of More Amore fabric and a Jumbo Sticky Round. The center of the flower is a Designer Builder Brad.

I also used a builder brad for the center of that Primrose Petal flower. I attached an In Color Dahlia to the center of that builder brad for a little variety. The flower itself, along with the smaller white flower, were made using the new Creped Filter Paper from the Spring Catalog. I dyed the larger flower using Primrose Petal ink.

This calendar design takes the same basic compartment boxes from my original design. I just arranged the boxes differently to create a Christmas Tree Shape!

I had a lot of fun playing around with this design. I decorated each box with some punched circles to frame the numbers and give the look of ornaments on the tree.

The ornament “strings” provide a great door pull to open the compartments.

And of course every tree needs some presents underneath! So I created some little presents using my punches and some DSP.

If you know a man, or are a man, then you’ve most likely heard of or even participated in Mo-vember. It’s that time of year when men around the world let their whiskers grow to raise awareness for men’s health issues. (Learn more about Movember HERE). And while I can’t grow a ‘stache of my own to raise awareness for men’s health, I can at least stamp some ‘staches on a few projects and help spread the word about Movember!

These simple cards are super fun with little mustaches all across the front of the card. A simple “Hello” sentiment makes these cards perfect for any occasion. I used the mustache image from the A Fitting Occasion set and the “Hello” sentiment stamp from the Pendant Park set. Making these cards without layers just seemed fitting to me. It works, Mo!

I encourage you to talk to the men in your life and invite them to learn more about Movember. It’s not too late to participate!

I am seriously so excited for this Advent calendar project and kit. It’s been in the works for a while now and I am so pleased with how it’s finally come together!

The inspiration for this project actually came from my husband! I was brainstorming Advent calendar ideas last year, and he said I should make one that has little doors that open up so you can get a little candy treat for every day until Christmas. He always loved those types of Advent calendars as a kid. Well…CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

I couldn’t be happier with the design I created for an interactive Advent calendar. Especially since it’s entirely made using card stock and supplies from Stampin’ Up! (plus a frame, of course). And I created it keeping in mind that I wanted to offer it as a kit.

My Christmas Countdown Kit includes everything you will need to make one of these fun Advent calendars for your home. There’s even an option for a kit without a frame if you want to save a little money. All you will need is some adhesive to put everything together! I provide the rest! There’s also a Tutorial Only option if you only want the instructions for creating one of these calendars from scratch. And no matter what option you choose, you can customize your calendar by changing/adding embellishments or using some stamp sets to kick the design up a notch! It’s up to you!

That’s right! All those fun treat boxes you see will be handed out to the kids that come a-knocking on my door this Halloween. Handing out candy plain just isn’t good enough for this crafter. I just had to dress the treats up and make them a little extra special. In total I made 82 treat bags/boxes! But you’ll notice as you look through theses photos that there is another reason for my special packaging.

If you’re like me, you probably have a stash (or hoard) of retired designer series paper lying around. I decided to do a little destash and use up some retired Halloween DSP that I had on hand. I used it here to wrap some mini chocolates and then make fun treat bag toppers.

I used stamps from Spooky Bingo Bits and the new Googly Ghouls set (and some Googlies, of course!) to create the medallions for the bag toppers.

I used some more of the same retired Halloween DSP, along with the Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die, to create these next sets of Halloween treats. The “Treats for Boo” stamp is from the Mixed Medley Hostess set in the Holiday Catalog.

And for the girls coming to my door, I created these super adorable treat purses using the Petite Purse Bigz L Die.

You’ll notice that the top flaps of the purses have been embossed. After cutting the purses out with my Big Shot, I embossed the flap portions of each die cut before assembling them. It’s an easy way to add some design to the purses without having to cut additional pieces out of DSP. For my purses, I embossed the flaps with the Chevron, Fancy Fan, and Lacy Brocade Embossing Folders. I embellished them with little flowers made using the 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and the “treats for boo” sentiment stamp.

I am super excited to hand these treats out to the kids in my neighborhood. And did you notice that I included my contact information on each treat? This isn’t just a fun time to give out candy for me. I also look at this as an opportunity to get my name out locally to the mothers and crafters in my area as well. So I purchased a personalized text stamp so that every parent, guardian, or crafter who sees my candy packaging will know who to contact when they want to learn how I made their kids’ treat wrappers! Yay!

So what do you think of my trick or treats? I’m happy to say that I have completely used up my entire stash of retired Halloween DSP, along with some card stock in last year’s In Colors, creating these fun bags and boxes. You might consider doing the same if you need to do a little de-stashing of your own

Since this was my first venture into wreath-making, I wanted to keep things pretty simple and uncomplicated. So I used a pre-made grapevine wreath that I purchased at my local craft store. I wrapped it with some retired ribbon from my ribbon stash (aka “hoard”).

I knew I wanted to incorporate this large bow I had created using some Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. So I plopped that wonderful paper bow right on the top of my wreath. And the paper pattern matched perfectly with my ribbon! (Tutorial for that fabulous bow is coming soon!)

For the floral bunches, I created a bunch of punched paper flowers using my Blossom Punch, 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, and 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch. I punched the shapes from some sheets of First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper and some card stock in Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, and Very Vanilla. I used Glimmer Brads for the centers of my flowers for a nice little pop of extra color.

I adhered my paper flowers in a nice arrangement on my wreath using some strong liquid adhesive. Then I added a few little leaves using the branch shape from the Bird Builder Punch for some nice detail. Voila! A simple wreath perfect for Fall.

I had so much fun incorporating paper crafting into my home decor. You can bet I’ll be doing this more often! So be on the lookout for some more home decor ideas using our favorite products from Stampin’ Up!
