Lace Love

Today is the first day for the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog! I’m sure many of you will be spending some time with your new catalogs or online checking out all the new items in the Stampin’ Up! Store. But let me pull you away for just a moment to share another project with you and show you what you can do with one of those new items you may be eyeballing.

I have a feeling one of the hot new items from this new catalog will be the Lace Ribbon Punch. It’s a beautiful punch for creating fun borders and frames for card elements. But it’s also great for creating a complete card front, too! Check it out!

Geometric designs and patterns are quite a trend right now, and while playing around with this punch, I realized that it created a really beautiful pattern when you joined the punched strips together! No stamps, no ink, just the Lace Ribbon Punch, some glue, and my card bases! The design kind of reminds me of the patterns and designs you’d see in a bazaar or world market setting. I want to call it a Moroccan feel, but I’m not sure how accurate that would be. So I’m just gonna say it’s got a global design to it. Either way, it’s a beautiful pattern, and all made with strips punched out using the Lace Ribbon Punch! The Island Indigo and Pumpkin Pie combination also works great together, don’t you think?

You can always add a sentiment or image to this card for some added design, but you know me. I like to keep things simple!

I’m sure you may have seen some other fun uses for the Lace Ribbon Punch, but I hope this gives you another reason to add it to your shopping list! You will love having it on hand.

As always, you can find this card set in My Etsy Shop! And I can customize the colors for you too if you prefer something different!

Coming Up: I honestly have no idea! Guess I need to get back to crafting! But I’ll have something fun for you next time, I promise!

Until next time…
