Spring is Blossoming

April is here! And thankfully I survived April Fools’ Day by keeping to the craft table and away from the computer where I could fall prey to a number of pranks and tricks. I will admit, I did fall for one joke from a friend on Facebook. She posted a photo saying she had just gotten a new tattoo. I believed her, but it turns out the photos was of someone else. LOL. Not the worst thing to be gullible about, but still, I fell for it.

Anyways, with this new month comes some new promotions from Stampin’ Up! One of the most exciting new promotions they have going on right now is their Spring is Blossoming promotion. This promo gives you the opportunity to purchase two brand new items from the upcoming 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog! They are beautiful items that you just may want to get now while you can. The promotional items are the Four Frames stamp set and the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (you can view the full designs by going to my Promotions Page). I used both of these products to create these fabulous springtime cards.

This card turned out to be my favorite. I don’t know if it’s the colors or the cleanness of it, but I was super pleased with how it turned out. I used the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss the front of the card. Some Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon created a perfect little border for the DSP “ribbon” that goes down the front of the card. And a cute little Rosette added a nice finishing touch to the sentiment part.

I really like this card, too. I let the DSP do all the work, since it is so beautiful, after all. Just punched out the image with the Decorative Label Punch, which coordinates so perfectly with the Four Frames set, added some ribbon, and done!

Here’s another card where I let the DSP do its thing. Oh, and did you know that you can color the Rosettes to match any color you want? Just use your Stampin’ Write Markers or some Classic Stampin’ Ink reinkers to color the flower. Bam! Instant color coordination! Love it! I used my Cherry Cobbler marker to color the rosette on this card.

And another simple card. I used a sentiment from the FYI stamp set to put in the frame. Some hemp twine and that fabulous new DSP takes care of the rest of the card. Yay for simple!

You can get your hands on these two great products before they’re available in the new catalog. All you have to do is spend $20 in my Online Stampin’ Up! Store, and you are eligible to purchase both of these items. OR you can host a $350 workshop with me and you can get both of these items for FREE! (Contact me for more information about hosting a workshop).

This promotion runs until April 30th. After that, you won’t be seeing these two items until July 1st!
