Have you seen the new Holiday Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! lately? If your answer is no, you should seriously give it a nice look through. Because Stampin’ Up! has introduced these fabulous things called Letterpress Plates to their already amazing product line. And I. Love. Them.
Letterpress has been a steadily rising trend in stationery, particularly in wedding stationery. If you’re not familiar with letterpress, it’s a method of printing where the ink is pressed into the paper, leaving a debossed design that looks beautiful and leaves a lovely texture to the finished stationery. It’s a very elegant, and somewhat pricey, method of printing. So I was uber stoked when I saw those new letterpress plates in this year’s Holiday Mini.
So far, I’ve only ordered one of the four available letterpress plates, but I’m definitely having fun using it. Check out these gorgeous letterpress Christmas cards I created last week!
And here are some fun little gift tags too!
All of these fabulous letterpress items are available in my Etsy Shop!
If you’d like to create these beauties yourself, you’ll just need the Joyful Season letterpress plate from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini Catalog, some watercolor paper, and your Big Shot Machine. TIP: You’ll want to use craft ink when using letterpress plates. It will ink the design more evenly and result in a crisper image once pressed. Visit my Stampin’ Up! Online Store to order your supplies today! (And take advantage of my new Customer Rewards Program too!)
You’ll be seeing more new Christmas items throughout the week, so make sure to check back soon!
